The Collection

Apex Rivals isn’t just a game; it’s a curated gallery of Earth’s most incredible inhabitants. Our cards span the vast eras of natural history, featuring a diverse roster of prehistoric life:

  • The Dawn of Predators: Discover the bizarre, alien-like Cambrian cephalopods and arthropods that ruled the ancient seas.

  • The Age of Giants: Command the legendary dinosaurs of the Jurassic and Cretaceous.

  • The Cenozoic Legends: Deploy the massive Ice Age rhinos, mammoths, and smilodons of the Quaternary period.

The Artwork

Every creature has been meticulously hand-drawn by me. I balance scientific accuracy with a bold, modern aesthetic to ensure every card is as educational as it is formidable in battle.

The Rules of the Rivalry

Apex Rivals is a fast-paced tactical game where players command the world’s most formidable prehistoric creatures. Strategy, timing, and the laws of natural history determine who survives.
1. Choose Your Strength
On your turn, select one of your creature’s core attributes to challenge your opponent:
  • ATT (Attack): Overpower your rival with raw force.
  • DEF (Defense): Outlast the competition with superior resilience.
  • SPEED: Use agility to strike first and control the era.
2. The Face-Off
Compare your chosen stat against your opponent’s card. The player with the higher value wins the round and claims the rival card.
3. The Apex Tie-Breaker
In the ancient world, stalemates are rare. If the core attributes are an exact match, the Apex Rating comes into play. This represents the creature’s overall dominance in the prehistoric hierarchy. The higher Apex Rating breaks the tie and secures the win.
4. Adapt or Extinguish (coming soon)
Watch out for Event Cards. Environmental shifts and sudden disasters can nerf a predator’s ATT or boost a scavenger’s SPEED, turning the tide of the battle in an instant.

The prehistoric world was never stable, and neither is the game.

Prepare for a whole new way to play. The upcoming arrival of Event Cards will introduce unpredictable environmental shifts to the tabletop. From sudden extinctions to tectonic changes, these cards will force you to adapt your strategy on the fly—or face the consequences.

The Launch: Summer 2026

The rivalry is going global.

We are thrilled to announce that Apex Rivals is scheduled for its official first-edition release in Japan and the UK in the Summer of 2026.

From the tabletop communities of Hokkaido to the natural history enthusiasts in Britain, the journey through deep time is about to begin. We are currently finalizing local distribution and production to ensure every deck meets our “Museum Quality” standards.
