Deal six cards to each player from the deck, then decide who attacks first. (for example, coin flip)
Players then take turns attacking and defending.
The attacker picks a card and chooses which stat to battle with. The defender then chooses a card to battle with. Both players place their cards face down.
Both players reveal their chosen cards and compare the stars for the chosen stat. The card with the highest amount of stars wins.
Tied on stats? Resolve in this order:
Check the APEX RIVAL RATING.
Compare the next stat in the cycle (ATT→ DEF →SPD).
If cards are identical, draw a second card to battle! Use the original stat to compare.
The winner collects ALL of the played cards.
Place your winning card in your VICTORY PILE and your opponent’s card in your DEFEATED PILE.
Draw from the deck to bring your hand back to 6 cards.
Continue playing untill all the cards in the deck and each of the players hands has been played.
Tally the total ‘APEX RIVAL RATINGS’ values of all cards in your DEFEATED PILE—the player with the highest score wins!
